Brazil has many lawyers thanks to the many law schools available in the country. According to a study that was conducted in 2010, the country ranked third among the nations with the largest number of attorneys in the world.
According to the National Council of Justice (CNJ), the country has 1,240 graduation courses. This figure is slightly above the number of law courses in the world which is 1,100. Some of the prestigious law schools in the country include Mackenzie Presbyterian University (MACKENZIE) located in São Paulo, Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) located in Minas Gerais, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) among others.
About Ricardo Tosto
Ricardo Tosto de Oliveira Carvalho is a well-recognized individual in the Brazilian legal sector. He has practiced in the law field for more than 20 years. His principal areas of practice include mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, commercial litigation, international and electoral law.
Mr. Ricardo is also a well-known author who has written several articles that have featured in different Brazilian magazines and journals. He is the former president of the Judicial Reform Committee and the Judicial Modernization Committee at the Brazilian Association/Sao Paulo Division.
