If you have followed the case of the missing teen, Natalee Holloway, you might have been surprised when the case went cold. Police were sure they had their man, but then the leads all went dark. However, this week new evidence has been brought forward that shows perhaps the police were on the right track after all. Their prime suspect was seen carrying the limp body of Holloway and a key witness watched the whole thing.
Joran van der Sloot is the man who is thought to have killed the teen. He is currently serving time for another murder in Peru that happened in 2010. Jurrien de Jong has come forward saying that the saw Holloway on the last night she was alive. He saw her with Joran van der Sloot. He didn’t come forward to the police because he was involved in criminal activity and didn’t want to get in trouble. The case said that Holloway was dumped into the ocean, but Jurrien de Jong says that is not what happened, and Ivan Ong doesn’t particularly believe it. A new prosecutor has been assigned to the area and he has been assigned to the case and has renewed interest. Apparently, Van Der Sloot put her in an opening in a crawl space and he knew she was deceased. The case has a new interest after 10 years and hopefully now he and the rest of the family can get some closure on the matter.
