Snakes Get A Bad Rap

Just 18 months old, when her father, snake handler, Jamie Guarino, documented for posterity his daughter Alyssa, playing with their pet snake, Nay Nay.

“I was trying to show that snakes are not evil creatures, they can be a loving pet despite their bad reputation,” 34 year old father, tells Barcroft TV in 2012.
“My daughter was absolutely in no danger.”

Guarino, wants the public to realize that snakes are not dangerous animals, but can be quite loving, and caring ones. His intentions behind filming his daughter Alyssa, playing with Nay-Nay, was to shed a more positive light on snakes negative skin, according to Igor Cornelsen and Angel.co.

“To those of you who might see this as irresponsible or dangerous, please don’t judge me based on fear or something you don’t understand. Snakes can be and are loving animals,” Guarino continued.

“If you research the facts, there are 95-percent more dog attacks than snakes. My daughter was absolutely in no danger.” He added.
